DEATH OF AN OLD COLONIST. Another old colonist, Mrs. William Brown, late of Balgowan, Morphett Vale, has just died at her son-in-law's (A. Carmichael) residence South-terrace. The deceased lady, who arrived from Leith, Scotland, early in 1840 in theshipIndus, was thus a colonist of 55 years. She had been remarkably healthy up to within a short time previous to her death, having attained, the ripe age of 85. She leaves behind her one son, three daughters, with a great number of grand and great-grand children.
