The death occurred on July 10 of Mr. JohnBoundy, at the age of 86 years. He was a son of the late Captain J. Boundy, 61 St. Agnes, Cornwall, and sailed from Plymouth in the Royal George in June, 1848, arriving at Port Adelaide in September of the same year. He secured employment as a salesman for Mr. Thomas Whitford, a corn merchant, whose premises stood on the site of Mr. Kither's butcher's shop in Rundle-street. Later on he became accountant for Messrs. D. & J. Fowler, and afterwards filled a similar position in the service of Messrs. Geo. P. Harris, Scarfe, & Co., for about 20 years. His wife, who was the eldest daughter of the late Mr. George Prince, of Mitcham, died five years ago. He left four sons and three daughters, including Mis. W. Brooker. of Woodville, and Mrs. W. R. Hale, of North Adelaide. There are 22 grandchildren, six of whom are on active service, and two great grand-children.
