SMYTH, Mary A correspondent at Willochra writes on September 20 : — Mrs. William Smyth, a colonist of 48 years, has just died in this district. She had been living here with her husband (who survives her) and family for the last 10 years, previous to that in the Auburn district (Uladalya) for 20 or 22 years, and before that in the vicinity of the city, having arrived in the colony by the ship William Nicholl in 1840, Mrs. Smyth was of a very kind benevolent disposition, and was much respected by all who knew her. She was in fair health till within a month of her death, when she had a stroke of paralysis, from which she did not rally. Her remains were interred on Monday afternoon at the Wilmington Cemetery.
