We are informed that an effort is about to be made on behalf of the family of Robert Wood head, who are left partially unprovided for, the three youngest not being able to earn their own living. A memorial is to be got up and signed by residents of Wallaroo to be forwarded to the Chief Secretary respectfully requesting the Government to render some assistance, as Woodhead was killed while attending to his duties in the Government service. We may here also state that Mr James Willshire collected, in small sums, the day before he left Wallaroo for Green's Plains 30s or 35s, which he handed over to the family. For this Mr Willshire is to be commended ; and we mention the circumstance believing that others will follow his example and get up a subscription on behalf of the orphans. Any subscription on their behalf forwarded to the office of this paper at Kadina or Wallaroo will be gratefully acknowledged.
